Evil and cunning

Today, I lost my job due to anonymous customer complaints. Turns out it was my toxic mother-in-law. She made those complaints because she thinks if I’m unemployed, it will be easier to convince my husband to divorce me. Luckily he knows she’s toxic and is on my side, but I’m still unemployed. FML

Sounds like your MIL needs to go on a strict information diet at best.

Have your husband let it be known that he's very happy having his wife at home rather than working as one of those always busy, high-flying executive types. Worst case scenario she wastes her time looking, best case, she finds you a great new job.

take the evidence to your ex boss, maybe get your job back

Honestly, a boss who decides to fire an employee based on a single anonymous complaint, can bite my a**.

May I suggest a different approach? Try to be friendly with her: Bake her a lovely cake (full of laxatives), and help her clean the house by putting small beakers with buturic acid in every doorway in her house. That'll give her motivation to clean thoroughly.
