Today, my parents called me to ask if I could drop my dog off to them on Sunday. They're having a Superbowl party and want to show her off to their guests. My dog is invited, but I'm not. FML

Your own parents not inviting you? That's messed up.

Hardly. OP probably doesn't want her parents at her get togethers at times, so why is it so hard to think they don't want kids around for a party here and there. Sounds like OP doesn't live at home, which means she's an adult, which means she can go set up her own party or go to another. If she can't find anything and her own parents don't want her around either... well maybe it's time to look in the mirror. There's always a reason.

You'll have to be nice to the dog now and she might take you as her partner.

id invite your dog

Well feed your dog some laxatives and let them have a fun party.

dude the dog did nothing wrong.... don't take it out on them.

Feed the parents laxatives?

As parents, that's messed up. But everyone loves a furry, cute critter. Go with your dog, be its plus one :)

Well that's what you get for being an xxxxxxxxxx fan!

Well dogs are better than people. But maybe just ask them? maybe they just wanted to be with friends and chill and do stuff their kid shouldn't see. I bet you also like to be with friends without your parents.

The mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell!

While this is true, it has no bearing whatsoever on the FML.

Even though this is completely unrelated, I find the sheer randomness of this comment to be insurmountably awesome.
