Today, my boss fired me for "fooling around" on my phone. I was looking for supplies for a surprise party we are throwing him for his birthday, and I didn't want to do it on my work computer because he has access to our history. Also, this happened during my lunch break. FML

Today, my boss threatened to fire me if I didn't stop looking at my phone while working. I work in the back room, and there is no clock in there. I look at my phone to check the time. That way I know how long I have left in that hellhole. FML

I was on 'Do not disturb" because it's my vacation, and this SOB is not even my boss anyway. FML

Today, my boss went out for a few hours. My coworkers saw this as an opportunity to take a 2 hour lunch without getting caught. I stayed at the office to answer the phone, while streaming videos which is a big no no. My boss came back early and caught me, they're all still taking lunch. FML

I would have said YDI and that you should have been doing that at home and not at work, but I saw that you did this during your lunch hour. I'm glad you cleared that up. In that case, your boss has no right to fire you for something you're doing while off the clock. Sue him.
