Today, it's my birthday. My mom decided to wake me up by having our new, previously stray, cat thrown on top of me. I was awoken to two claws ripping across my face which needed 16 stitches to fix. Happy Birthday. FML

I'm sure your mother didn't really know the stray cat would do that unless it's shown signs of aggression in the past. Hope you had a good birthday OP!

My cousin once did something similar by waking me up by putting their cat on top of me. I still to this day have a long scar all the way down my side from that.
