Today I was supposed to have a Magic the Gathering date with a cute girl at a comic store. Sat around for an hour and a half before accepting that I'd been stood up, and furthermore; she ghosted me hard. FML.

Sorry honey, but people in retail have to smile and be nice to you, otherwise they lose their jobs. They are literally a captive audience. You could look like Adonis and have the wit of Voltaire, or be the comic book guy from the Simpsons, but you get the same reaction. that said, something could have happened in her life so she couldn't get there...

Today, as usual, my neighbor's 9 year-old son came over after school. I work from home so he stays until his mom gets home. My dog mopes around the house until 3 p.m., then gets all excited because he has a friend to play with. I'm almost jealous because a dog I've had for 11 years likes him more than me. FML

Today, I had to admit that I desperately need anti-anxiety medication. Apparently, when you walk around a grocery store avoiding eye contact and generally acting "sketchy", management will call the police on you, who will then pat you down to be sure you aren't shoplifting. FML

Today, I discovered that a high enough stress level can cause the same symptoms as the flu. So whenever things are quite awful at work, I get the added bonus of feeling like I’m coming down with something really nasty. FML

Today, at a family gathering, my aunt asked me when I was planning to have children. I'm only 16, I laughed and said not for a while, definitely not until I get married. My family shook their heads, and ignored me for the rest of the day. Apparently, teenage pregnancy is valued in my family. FML
