put it on a timer
My old heater doesn't have a timer
More bad luck, emeraldapostle? Did you break a lot of mirrors recently, or walk under a series of ladders? And there is middle ground - buy a blanket.
I live with a lot of black cats, so that might be it. Also a heated blanket wouldn't work, because there is not outlet close enough to my bed
Doesn't have to be a heated blanket. Regular blankets work fine.
I have a regular blanket, and it works fine. It's just the frigid temperatures make me refuse to get out of bed in the morning
If it's an electric heater you either buy a timer so that it switches on/off at certain times, or a thermostat switch so it will switch off when it gets to a certain temperature. These fit between the heater plug and wall socket.
