Today, I was pumping gas, when my daughter called me. After I hung up, I put my phone on the car roof while I grabbed my bag. I completely forgot about it and only realized when it shot off the roof as I braked at a traffic light. FML

Something like this happened to me last week. It was my phone, iPod touch, sunglasses, and a full cup of tea from McDonalds that flew off when I braked. It happens. Ha...

OP, be lucky you didn't experience spontaneous combustion. Hopefully you can buy a new phone and next time you pump gas just leave your phone in the car. You shouldn't have been talking on it in the first place though. :/
