Today, I was let down for a movie date. As I'd already paid for the tickets, I got my narcoleptic sister to come and sit next to me while she slept, so it didn't look like I came on my own. FML

And who exactly were the people you were trying to impress so much that you didn't want to be seen alone?

Ugh that sucks. Being stood up for a date is one of the worst things in dating. Sorry OP.

I don't know whats wrong about going to the cinema by yourself. Just enjoy the movie! :)

Get a refund for one of the tickets and see the movie by yourself. Most managers will be sympathetic and it is perfectly fine going to a movie by yourself.

Dude, are you really so insecure that you worry what people at the movie theater will think of you going to a movie alone? Sad.

Hey at least your nice to your sister and bring her to movies or try! Your the best brother ever! Not many people would do that for a sibling that has that issue! You have one thing to feel really proud about. That sucks that she said no :(

You should have gotten a refund and gone by yourself I'm always at the movie by myself but it's ok I don't blame you either **** that horrible girl she never deserved ya

Sorry for you getting stood up just remember to smile and there's plenty more out there

It sucks to be in a movie with a sleeping person. I dated this one guy for 2 years and EVERY time we went to a movie he would fall asleep. He didn't have that problem anyplace else - I guess it was the comfy seats and darkness.

I'd say **** it and see that movie by myself

Does it matter it you went alone? Sorry your date didn't show up...

The fact that you even invited your sister, despite her condition, is enough of a kudos to you because you're the real man for doing this. The girl who let you down should feel bad. And everyone will be rejected a few times, so chin up and feel happy that you brought your sister
