Today, I started my new job at a cheap dollar store. I was called in early, which is fine, but around the end of my shift, a truck came in. They asked me to stay late, which again, was fine. I wasn't told I could take breaks and a lunch. I stood for 6 hours straight. FML.

Today, I came home to pandemonium: the kids screaming, the house a mess, wet laundry, no food made, and my wife in her office. After cleaning, making dinner, putting everything away, and getting the kids to sleep, I grabbed myself a beer. My wife saw it and said, "You're kidding, right?" FML

Today, I sat down and worked out I get paid £26000 a year for working 40 hours a week. Meanwhile my boss gets paid £115000 to answer emails when he remembers to and to attend 5 hours of mandatory meetings a month, which he now does over video chat from his vacation cottage in Scotland. FML
