To the op It is not bad thing to be single I'm single and I don't think it is bad thing but I do hate when people like the salesclerk ask things like that if I bought underwear to wear for him or bought a video game or metal or rock music for him pfft!

ANYONE can find a date, and sometimes a very good date, online these days. I'm living proof of that. The fact that you had no one to impress is Your Fault. I rarely say this on FML, but unless you have some sort of horrible disease, you need to buck up your ego and get out there and date. Maybe by next year, you won't have to lie about who's waiting for you at home. And even if you don't find someone, at least get out and find guys to go out with. Trust me, I'm no beauty queen, but I had a very active dating life. Now I'm happily married! Thanks, internet! : )
