Today, I checked the comments on the YouTube channel I started a few days ago. Almost all of them were insults about my appearance. The main reason I started the channel in the first place was to be more comfortable with how I look. FML

That’s lame of them - but of course there are always trolls. Just remember though - if your basis for feeling ok with how you look comes from someone else - it can be taken away just as easily as it came. Don’t look for others to tell you if you look ok. Just “be ok” with who you are, and nobody can shake that.

I don't think these commenters are all that good looking themselves, OP. Once your channel gets bigger, you'll attract better viewers. Opening a YouTube channel is like digging a well. You have to to get through the muddy water before you get clean water.

Welcome to the Internet. It’s easier to insult a person than to give positive and helpful comments. And some small minded people/trolls think that by tearing down others they lift themselves up. But the truth is they just drown in the bile. Seriously - Friends and family are the ones to look to for support. And by friends, I mean in person, face to face friends.
