Today, after years of denying him because I was afraid it would ruin our friendship, and years of him assuring me that nothing would change between us, I finally slept with my best friend. Now he won't even answer his phone. FML

i see 2 possibilities 1. he wasn't your friend, he was just using you and he got what he wanted. 2. after doing the deed he is confused. Maybe he's questioning his feelings or if he's done something stupid

This happened to me two years ago, it took a year of silence but we're finally back to being good friends. It gets better

Yeah...I don't think that guy was your best friend. Maybe he was a best friend to you, but he made it pretty clear what he wanted, and when he got it, he left. Friends don't usually ask for such things, much less pressure you into it for years and try to wear you down into saying yes.

How long has it been since this happened? If it's been less than a day he could just be busy. Give him a bit more time.
