Today, my boyfriend told me he wants to date other people, but still wants to be with me. He said, “Yes I want to be with you, but maybe we can both find better.” I found out he’s been texting another woman. FML

I had an ex say something similar to me once. We had been broken up for a year, and he said he was “pretty sure” he still wanted to marry me, but he needed one more summer to make sure there wasn’t anything better out there. I’m married to a wonderful man now, and he was single for six years before he even got another date. Leave this one in the dust.

non monogamy is a potential choice for people, if you feel betrayed by how he brought it up and he hasn't mentioned non monogamy before, I'd get the hell away from him asap, it'll only get worse, sorry for your hurt
