Today, I went on a first date with a guy. He told me his wife had filed for divorce this morning (I had no idea he had ever been married) and then he sent me the e-receipt for my nachos along with his Venmo handle. FML

I know it's 2023 but if it isn't discussed prior or the girl doesn't jump for the bill, the standard is the guys pays for the first date in NA at least (Im not saying im for it, just the standing paradigm until people do something different long enough). this sounds like he believes you owe him ass or cash for the food. block his number and move on, don't pay him.
