What was the emergency? Did she desperately need a haircut today? Was her best friend unable to go to a musical with her? At first I thought 'gay' meant 'lesbian' here, and she was just using you for sex even though she was straight. Even that would be pathetic. Being a straight guy and acting gay for your crush is beyond pathetic. Maybe you should ask her if she wants to watch a classic romantic movie with you, and rent 'Una Giornata Particolare'.
