People should realize that you can not divorce your kids. No matter how bad it is with your partner. Sue his ass to accept his parenting responsibility and move on to find love and a new family
I didn’t know how to be a single mom either. Focus on your kids and, when you can, try to give yourself as much time to heal. Do NOT try to get another partner because that’ll just confuse your kids and, in the long run, it won’t be helpful to your psyche. Gather your village (as they say). Give yourself time to grieve and then look for any chance for joy. One piece of advice my counselor gave me was “give yourself permission to be a little selfish.”
