The cake is true, the name on it is the lie.
As a cake decorator I make cakes for people all the time that order them for themselves. I honestly don't have time to wonder why, or judge. I also don't care. I've been known to eat pie and ice cream for dinner. So if you want to eat an entire cake, I say go for it.
Go through self serve. Avoid people all together. Ive legit gone through checkout with a chocolate cake, packet of muffins, two blocks of chocolate, some pretzels and tampons and the cashier didn't even notice. No shame. You are an adult, you earned your money, you want to spend it on a cake and eat all of it, then do it. No shame
right, cause the people in the store give a **** about you buying a cake.

As a cashier, I can officially say that I don't even bat an eyelash when someone buys an entire unmarked cake, nor do I think of reasons why they're buying it. There's no reason to be ashamed--buy that cake! chances are your cashier won't even remember you in 10 minutes. I sure as heck don't.
Next time put your name on it! That’s your cake- be proud!
