nah dude. the kids were playing that dumb game where you pretendingly dart in front of a car and then dart back, it's a really idiotic game. but they were never really in danger of getting hit.

Whoa dude, who decided to escalate this? OP dislocated their kneecap, that hurts like a dog. But they never said they were pissed off that the kids weren't hurt, they said the kids were unhurt but they hurt. Just because kids were in danger does not mean that their pain is without meaning. You need to take a deep and long look at yourself, find where the anger is coming from and address it. Before you ruin friendships and find yourself alone with all this anger and no productive outlet.

From experience I can tell you that you will soon get a warning email from FML. Apparently, the only acceptable thing to say is : Yes, Your Life Sucks. The email will have a link to guidelines/rules that will lead to a Resource not found page with weird gif.

I hate that people find it necessary to ignore someone rough situation and say "it could be worse". Of course every situation COULD be worse, but how about we acknowledge the shitty situation someone is in as being bad enough! Sorry, OP. I'm sure you're in incredible pain. Hope you heal quickly and avoid lifelong issues from this injury (arthritis and such).
On the contrary, if the kids <i>had</i> been run over, it would have taught all of their friends the valuable life lesson of <i>why you don't play in traffic.</i> As a bonus, it would stop all future games of this type, (assuming the kids have any reasoning skills) thus preventing both future knee-cap incidents <i>and</i> traffic fatalities. ...would suck to be the bus driver tho.
I'd be so angry at those kids. i really hope you got treatment t quickly do insurance.my Dad was in an accident years ago where a car hit ours on the hard shoulder. it wasn't majorly hard but his back was damaged and he has been hugely affected since. we got compensation, maybe you could look into getting some? especially if it leads to longterm effects. i know the driver had to break bit you. were still injured,maybe the bus company has insurance that can give compensation.
