Today, I was at Target trying on swimsuits. I tried on a medium bottom and was so excited because it fit perfectly even though I've gained a few pounds. My self-esteem was at an all-time high until my mom told me I could never fit into a medium. I rechecked the tag. It was an extra large. FML

Today, after losing 20 pounds, I decided to purchase new clothes. All of the clothes at the store were still too small for me. FML
Today, I took the kids to the pool. I'm short and 20lbs overweight but they talked me into it and I put on a swimsuit for the first time in 10 years. As soon as we got there, a girl my height but a good 150lbs heavier said, "It's so nice to see another big girl in a two-piece!" FML
Today, a heavy set lady came to my boutique asking for our "largest" 28in size jeans. I decided to humor her by giving a 52 mislabeled as a 28. It fit perfectly! She happily bought it and left. Later, her mother, who is a Super Karen and twice her size, came to complain about me to the owner for bodyshaming her daughter. FML
Today, when I tried on a pair of pants at the mall, I asked the salesperson if I could have the next size up. She informed me that there wasn't a next size up. I have to LOSE weight to fit into the biggest pair of pants the store makes. FML
Today, my mom and I were looking at dresses for me at the mall. The cashier pointed out a dress, and my mom said, "She's definitely not going to fit into that. She's too flat-chested." FML
Today, I bought my fiancée a dress for her birthday. She accused me of saying she was fat, because I bought it in medium rather than small. After trying on the dress, she's now not only mad at me for buying it, but also because the dress fits perfectly. FML
Today, I was chosen out of 64 women to model for the catalog of a new clothing store. Just when my self-confidence took a dramatic boost, I looked at the evaluation sheet. I was picked due to attributes such as my "extra large figure and average face" to make below average women feel beautiful. FML
Today, I finally got the wedding dress I've been waiting months to see. It turns out that my mom ordered the dress 2 sizes smaller than my size, this way it will be "an incentive to lose weight". FML
Today, I received the beautiful dress I'd ordered on the internet. It's a size smaller than my usual, just to encourage me to lose weight. I managed to fit into it and wear it all day, but I've now been struggling for a couple of hours to remove it without tearing it to bits. FML
Today, I was trying on some new pants in the fitting room at a store. I was so overcome with joy when I noticed that I had dropped two pant sizes, that when I took them off and went outside to pay for them, I realized I forgot to put back on my original jeans. FML

The size on the tag doesn't matter as long as the clothes fit well and you feel comfortable with the way you look.

Honestly, i have no sympathy for you. Your self confidence should NOT be based on a swimsuit size. Youre probably not even fat, And you're lucky that you're average. Coming from someone who can't buy normal clothes because even a size 00 is too big, and can't even go a day without being called "anorexic" - trust me, it sucks to be skinny. PS: If you really want to lose weight, make sure to do it in a healthy way- no starving yourself! btw- no I'm not anorexic, it just runs in the family. Both my mother and I weigh about 95-105 pounds, were both about five foot four.

I love the people assuming that all commenters who aren't bitchy to the OP are fat. I probably shouldn't mention that my BMI is in the underweight category; I'd hate to ruin the illusion some people have that it's acceptable and normal to be horrible to others because they weigh more than them.

Ugh I'm the only one out of three sisters whoss NOT obese My sister who is 9 weighs about 100 pounds and still doesnt wear socks... My other sister whos 13 weighs about 150 pounds and doesn't have a life... I haven't checked my weight lately but whenever I see my sisters and my friends are beside me, we're all like WTF and like...that's your sister? haha it's kinda funny, but rlly, lose some weight, get some friends and play and hang out with them a little more, k? Don't be like my sisters. :P
