Today I got my results back for an assignment I worked my ass off and submitted on the 21/11/18. Today I was told I failed that assignment due to collusion with another classmate who didn’t submit theirs till 31/11/18. Apparently discussing answers and sharing a reference list is collusion. FML

I don't know how you live in Australia, but the rest of the world usually adheres to only 30 days in November. Mini rant over, however, if your classmate used your answers and references in their assignment, then I can see why your teacher/professor/whatever considered that the two of you colluded. Explain to them that you didn't realize your classmate copied you, and ask them to re-evaluate your work, looking for discrepancies between the two that may indicate you didn't work together.

Sorry, the 31 was a typo, and while I am honoured you posted a comment, the discussion came AFTER her submission. We talked to the course coordinators, and they won’t revoke the decision. We have to repeat the subject and resubmit one assignment next year >.> and pay another $600 for the subject just to resubmit that one assignment. It’s shitty but it’s life. 12 more months and we are done.
