Today, I arrived at my new job only to find out, that I wasn't supposed to be there, and the only record they have is of my interview. When I told the trainer the name of the person who offered me the job, I was told that is was an invalid offer as they didn't go through the HR manager. FML

All they'd have to do is get it approved and process the paperwork. Not a big deal to fix. And if you were already interviewed and offered the job, there's no reason for them to not fix it for you.
