Today, I went to the dentist to get impressions for my permanent crowns. My nose is now numb. FML

To be fair my dentist was making sure not to hurt me but still it was a weird sensation.

Sounds like a The Weeknd remix: "I can't feel my nose when I'm with you."

After moderating the FMLs on an almost daily basis, I have to wonder how something this hum-drum makes it through when there are far more hilarious incidents that don't get published. Sometimes, 1 or 2 FMLs get published in a day and there are 5-10 really good ones that have been submitted. I'm sure this experience was disconcerting, but it pales in comparison to someone's car getting smashed in a parking lot.

Be thankful it's just your nose and not something at the other end.

What business could a dentist have at the other end?

Who knows but the throat leads somewhere down there.

If they missed then surely this FML would be more than "my nose is numb."

I've had my ear go numb when I was having work done on a molar. Which feels even *weirder* with earbuds in.
