Triggering

Today, a cashier sniffed at the money "you people" waste on tattoos. I have two full sleeve bamboo thickets to cover up old self-harm scars, but her criticism caused the self-hatred to come roaring back. Now it's a struggle to not fall back into those habits and damage that admittedly expensive artwork. FML

Don't listen to that hateful biotch. People like that just hate the world and have to share it. You're beautiful, ink and all. I'll bet your ink is awesome and she's just jealous that she doesn't have the balls to get it herself. be proud of you!

Honestly, you should report that cashier to the manager. They had NO right to comment on your tats and need to be reprimanded.

I prefer people who 'waste money' on tattoos than those who spend their time spewing hateful remarks and making others feel bad.

🫂 If it gets too much, wax your legs and bikini line. Don't hurt the ink, you'll never forgive yourself once you've calmed down and settled again. Waxing gives you the ouch and adrenaline hit but instead of shame, regret and feeling like dirty crap about it after, you just have gloriously smooth legs and bits. There are a couple of safe, non permanent compromises that can be made in 'emergencies'. But you also have to blame *her* for it. Complain. Explain to the manager how badly one stupid, unthinking, highly unprofessional comment can very easily cause real world consequences. Advocate for yourself here. Do something about it. Sitting and just stewing in it? You know where that can end so don't. Deep breath, chin up and go give that horrible woman the metaphoric kick in the crutch she genuinely deserves. You'll feel much better for it.

love tattoos and i have a ton. but the only thing that will truly fix them is therapy and learning self love 🖤

I'd rather hang out with people like you, than people like her. you're the good kind of people. don't let people like her get you in your head. what other people think of you is none of your business. eff her
