Today, someone broke my car's window to steal the spare coins I always leave there as change. He probably took about $5 total, it is going to take about $250 to fix the window. FML

Well, YDI for leaving coins out for people see through your window. $5 to you might be nothing, but it's enough for some to break your window to get it. Next time, put the coins in your glove compartment or something.

No. **** this. Nobody deserves to have their property damaged. I should be able to feel comfortable leaving belongings (such as change) in my own vehicle without worrying that some ass is going to break my window for it.

You're right, you shouldn't have to worry that somebody's going to break into your car all the time, but that doesn't stop it from happening. No matter what we do break-ins will probably always happen, so the best thing we can do is take safety precautions to protect our possessions.
