Today, my little brother learned about mortality when our dog died. Since then, he's gone a little nuts and keeps ranting that he sees no point as to why our other dog should live. He's 16. FML

Some people just deal with death in weird ways. Perhaps a little talk with the whole family will help or a therapist.

Did he learn about death for the first time, or just the feeling of it? If he is 16, he should be well aware of mortality and information surrounding it. Even so, sorry about the dog OP. I hope your brother and you will be okay soon.

Hopefully he doesn't kill your dog. That would be bad.

keep the other dog away from him!

You should watch him carefully, and maybe watch him with the dog for a while. Like others have said, this could be his way of grieving, but he should know all about mortality now or at least the basics if he's 16. Rip to the dog that passed away, and keep an eye on your brother to make sure he's ok

He's 16 and he didn't know about death until that incident? Wow.

Just tell your brother to look at the flowers.

It's just one of the stages of grief. Anger. Though, I would see if you can talk to him, so he doesn't hurt any other animals, whether they be your own or not.

I would keep an eye on your brother if your other dog mysteriously comes up missing or dead I think it would be say to say it was your brother.
