Today, I sent a christmas card to my husband's uncle and aunt. I'd forgotten that the uncle died last year. FML

that makes no sense. if you were being respectful, you wouldn't include her late husband's name on the envelope... maybe in the letter.

^^ This! Seriously, I thought Christmas cards were a way to say: "I care." But yours honestly says: "You might as well be dead for all I care." I guess it is nice to see some honesty in Christmas cards every so often though.

yeah, it actually is... I don't keep up with a majority of mine and my husband's family. In fact, my husband's Mom doesn't keep up with her family either. We got a "mailing list" for our wedding and two of the save the dates came back stamped DECEASED. One of the people, according to the obit, had been dead for three years.
