Anger management

Today, my husband started screaming at me about how I’d lost the mop, so he couldn’t mop the kitchen, and how the mess in the house is my fault since I got fired before Covid and "sit all day doing nothing" when I could be cleaning. Because job hunting during Covid is totally doing nothing all day. FML

there's no way you've spent all day every day for over a year at a computer/out applying. if you're not working, and he's supporting you, you really should be doing your share of cleaning. there's jobs to be had even if they're not what you want.

I agree with Royal- job hunting especially during COVID doesn’t require 24/7 You obviously got lazy and collected unemployment.

honestly for the first week or 2, when there's new jobs, I agree with you. but then just checking for new jobs once or twice a day is sufficient.

I don't know what field you are in OP, but I was job hunting during Covid, and got a job within a month. Although the type of field i"m in, people are always hiring.

you should be able to do both... your husband is right.... it must be difficult to live With someone that Never admits their wrongs like yourself... just be honnest With yourself and appologize to your husband

Employers are literally begging people to work but you're unable to find any job at all? I find that hard to believe. My only guess is that you're holding out for a job that lives up to your standards/expectations. That's not how the world works, sorry.

Forget the debate about job hunting. How do you lose a mop?
