And, you didn't think to call her before leaving?

Why would you surprise someone like that? How do you know they're in the mood to see you on no notice?
Let's just hope the "new boyfriend" isn't also your boyfriend or husband!

So you just randomly show up at other people's houses without any notice? You don't even ask for their permission before just showing up at someone else's place? Glad my family isn't like that.

I have a hard time imaging that OP is stupid enough to drive 6 hours without telling someone they are coming, so I'm just going to assume that they did tell their aunt they were visiting, and the aunt just didn't say they'd moved.

Obviously you didn't bother to tell her you were coming. ydi

Today, my niece just randomly tried to show up at my house without telling me, and somehow it's all my fault for not magically knowing she was coming. I actually moved and now she's really mad. FML

This is why you don't just "randomly drop in" on people. Maybe she didn't tell you she moved so people would stop just showing up at her place

Why the FUCK would you drive 6 hours one way to surprise drop in on someone during a global pandemic???? I mean, even without that its chancy and downright rude. "Hi, surprise, im here for an indeterminate amount of time to disrupt your life with no notice, stay in your home and eat your food! Oh and now I'm also breaking quarantine and maybe exposing you or myself to a deadly virus! Isnt that awesome?"
