Today, I couldn't take it anymore! After multiple offers to take over driving, I threw my boyfriends phone out the window because he refused to stop playing Pokemon Go while driving, insisting he was being careful.
I agree, your life sucks 304
You deserved it 48

Or you could have taken his phone and kept it from him or even played for him but instead u throw a 400$ object out the window

While I agree that what he's doing is annoying and unsafe, throwing it in the backseat would have been a better choice. Or you could just refuse to ride with him anymore. The point is, phones are super important to people, and should not be destroyed on a whim like that.

he deserved it. I'm proud of you, OP. I absolutely loathe anyone who uses their phone while driving. I don't care what you're doing, it can ******* wait.

You know what else is super important to people? Their lives and health.

OP here. So my boyfriend and I were on the way to the park to walk our dog and play Pokemon go. He got a little too excited and impatient and started playing in the car, even though I asked him to wait or to switch with me so I could drive and he could play but he insisted that he was watching the road. When we approached a nearby neighborhood he was doing about 10mph and rolled through a stop sign even with me telling him "there's a stop sign, stop!" So after that I got really frustrated, grabbed his phone and threw it out the window. Now I know that sounds awful but it landed on the grass which I intended to do. I never intended to damage/break his phone, I just needed him to snap out of it. Anyway his phone is fine, oh and it is NOT a $400 phone. He can't have expensive phones because he goes through them way too fast. (His words not mine) Also i do not text, or answer my phone while driving, and he knows how much it bothers me when people use their phone while driving, so he felt bad, apologized and we continued to the park where we caught tons of Pokemon. Lol Also to the person who said that phones are super important, while I do agree that they are important, they aren't more important than someone's life. I'd rather have a broken phone than a lost life because of something so stupid and completely avoidable. I'm grateful nothing scary or dangerous happened but I'm not going to risk it and wait for something bad to happen. I got his attention and we resolved the issue!
