So close, but yet so far
Today, I had to explain to a woman I didn't know that my husband was killed overseas. She replied, "I know exactly how you feel, my dog died last month." FML

that sucks, firstly, 'killed overseas'? i assume means militar?. but back on topic, conversations about death and things like that often leave people confused about what to say, i wouldnt take it to heart. sorry for your loss.

some people's pet are closer to them then their own family. so I can see where she's coming from. some people treat animals better than they would their own kind
