Today, I was eating a hotdog. My huge Siberian Husky, upon becoming aware of this, jumped up on me. He forced his tongue into my mouth and ate the food I was in the middle of eating. FML

I probably should have stated in the OP that I've only had my dog for 2 months, and upon receiving him, he was immediately signed up for obedience training. In fact, he graduated last Monday.

I don't know about this. You can train a dog to not take people food... I have in fact trained my dog to set and wait on a piece of food on the floor until I tell him he can have it. However I have never seen a dog in my life that will not at least sit by ideally and stare dreamily at your steak or pork chop. They may be well enough trained to never go near people food without given permission. I am not quite sure I agree that is the same thing as "ignoring" people food. I think this is just debating semantics however, so I am not trying to start that debate just share my thoughts.

# 9 dogs can so be taught to "ignore people food" and have manners. my dogs will just lay there when we eat no begging or anything .....so I think u r the stupid
