Who is "everyone"? Certainly your friends and family are already aware of her, as you've been dating for a year. Why would you care what anyone else thinks?
Go screw some random chicks &makes ire that everyone in your circle of friends knows and spreads it around if she gets upset just say that you aren't dating and ask what she's so upset about.
