Today, my mom is going with me for a general check-up at the doctor's office. She just told me she had a nightmare last night that she went to the doctor with me, and he told her I'm pregnant. I am pregnant. I was about to tell her. FML

Today, I mentioned to my mum that one of my friends is pregnant. She decided I was lying, that I'm the one who's actually pregnant, and that I'm going to get checked out by a doctor. FML
Today, my girlfriend told me she was pregnant. She also said I'm going to be an uncle. FML
Today, I sent my mom an email with "Bad news" as the subject. At the end of her reply, she said, "And don't scare me! I thought you were going to tell me you're pregnant!" I AM pregnant, and wanted to surprise her on her birthday. Guess I should get her something less disappointing. FML
Today, I was told by my wife that we were going to be parents. We are both females. FML
Today, I went to the doctor's office for a minor cold, and left with a diagnosis of pregnancy. FML
Today, I happily announced to my parents that I'm pregnant. My dad later handed me a printout containing a list of nearby abortion clinics. FML
Today, I told my husband I was pregnant, then he fainted. FML
Today, I took my daughter to the hospital for a few tests, and it turns out that she's pregnant. She has always said that she doesn't want kids, but I hoped that already being pregnant might change her mind. She called to schedule an abortion during the drive back home. FML
Today, I finally decided to tell my mother, a former Miss North Carolina winner, that I was several weeks pregnant. She immediately burst into tears and hugged me. She kept saying, "Thank god, thank god." At first I was relieved. Then she said, "I thought you were just getting fat." FML
Today, my husband jolted in bed and while still half-asleep said, "I had a nightmare; I dreamt we had a kid." I'm 8 months pregnant. FML

Oh also, my mom was pregnant with me when she got married. My parents having sex before marriage hasn't caused them problems. They've been married 22 years and my mom has stayed with my dad faithfully for the past seven years while he's battled cancer, so I'd say sex before marriage is perfectly fine. Oh also, sex is a very natural thing. Do you have a problem with masturbation as well? "Oh no I've violated myself!!"

Well, not to be mean or anything, but I believe the girl lives off. Sometimes guys don't want to go to the doctor, that's fine. I don't think it's dependence. The mother could be like mine: caring, but unwilling to let go even after the child is an "adult." So it's VERY possible that she's by herself, but the mother still freaks out.

i have to disagree. I wou;d have been devastated if my mother was not happy with me being pregnant and I am not a pregnant teenager, i dont live with my parents and im still with my bf. No matter who else you have around you i do think you need your mums support at a time like that.

Honestly, when I was Pregnant I was scared to tell my mom because of how she'd react and I'm 25 living on my own with my SO who I have been in a relationship for for about 8 years. It might have nothing to do with age, it might have everything to do with it not being the right time in her life, like, just lost a job or something. You really just cn't assume like that.
