Today, I went to Subway with my girlfriend. Just as the time came for her to pay, she went to the car to grab her purse. She didn't come back. I found a note on the windshield saying, "It's over." FML

Today, my wife of three years asked me to meet her for lunch at Subway. When I arrived, she was standing in the parking lot. She handed me a footlong sub, said "I got you a turkey sandwich" and followed it up with "And I'm leaving you." FML
Today, I came home to my empty apartment. My girlfriend had left a note on the floor that said: "Took my stuff and left. Took your stuff and pawned it." FML
Today, my girlfriend broke up with me. She came over to see me one last time. We hugged for minutes and cried; it was a touching moment. Just after she left, I realized my wallet that I had on the table beside us was gone. FML
Today, my girlfriend of 3 years broke up with me by taping a breakup note to my doorstep and ding-dong-ditching me. FML
Today, I went for a drive to clear my head of relationship issues. That night, I got pulled over. Lost the car and my license. I texted my girlfriend, saying I was sorry; she left. Lost her too. FML
Today, I told my girlfriend I loved her. She left and never came back. FML
Today, I sent my girlfriend a nice "Good morning" text after I woke up. Then I found a paper note stuck to my bedroom door, in which she broke up with me. FML
Today, I poured my heart out to my girlfriend with a serenade. After I finished, she told me she'd come over to tell me she'd found someone else and wanted to break up. FML
Today, my girlfriend broke up with me by putting a Post-it note on my locker that said, "Consider yourself dumped." FML
Today, I took my girlfriend to eat out at a restaurant. We chatted for an hour, and it all seemed to be going well, until she told me that she wanted to break up. Waiting for the bill and driving her home was the most painful time of my life. FML

FYL OP. I feel sorry for you not only because you got dumped in such an immature way but also because of all the idiots here who don't seem to understand these things: 1, THIS IS THE 21ST CENTURY. Women are capable of taking care of themselves, and there is nothing wrong with a woman paying for things. The outdated concept of guys having to pay for everything and be perfect gentleman all the damn time are long since past. Grow up, people. Quit being so goddamn shallow. 2, You all can suck it. You don't know what the relationship was like for one. For another thing, MAYBE THE GIRLFRIEND OFFERED TO PAY. And hell maybe she did it specifically so she could execute a plan to make the excuse of leaving in order to put the note on his windshield and leave him behind. Maybe he had money but she said "oh I'll pay for it" because she needed the excuse to leave. Who the hell knows? She could have been planning to dump him for a while and figured that was a way to pull it off. 3, It's the girl who's at fault here. Whether she offered to pay or not, she still pulled the coward's way out card and made herself a way to escape so she could avoid being a human being and having the decency to tell him to his face that she was done with him.

Maybe she had a different reason to break up with you, but she was too lame to do it the right way, so she took an easy way out. Or, it might have been because you didn't pay. Why don't you just call her. Haha

Hey everyone commenting, has it crossed your minds that maybe he bought her lunch/dinner/breakfast/movies/etc for the first 30 times they went out? A man doesnt pay every time, and ladies if that's what you expect, make sure you don't miss a workout and hire a pimp, because you are a *****. Just because you have a vag doesnt mean you never pay for things. before the bitchy teens hate on me and tell me I must be single, I'm very not single, and I pay for most things with my girlfriend, however, its 2011, and I and my girlfriend work and are not rich, she understands that if she wants to have dinner at a restaurant and not wendy's, she will have to pay for some meals or some events that we do, that's simply the give and take in a relationship.

I hate stupid girls like you. You think the man always has to pay - they don't. You don't know, maybe she offered because he paid her before. Anyway, the FML is more about his girlfriend dumping him, not her not paying the bill. You types of girls think its sexist and you should never pay restaurant bills - you're the sexist ones here. Unless of course its ALWAYS the girl who pays and the man doesn't ever do it.

as everyone else is saying, maybe he just bought her a meal at a fine French restaurant and dropped like 120. The girl gets meals sometimes, and since this was subway (the meal for 2 likely didn't cost over 15$), it was likely just "her turn" to pay. The FML doesnt say that she pays for all meals, it was about the fact that she dumped like him a c*nt
