Today, I had to offer my boyfriend a no-hard-feelings opportunity to just leave. He never wanted to be a dad, but since we accidentally got pregnant and had our son, I’ve watched his mental health go downhill so fast I was afraid he’d kill himself if he kept forcing himself to stay with us. FML
Today, I discovered two senior doctors made misdiagnoses by ignoring protocols. When I confronted them, they denied it. My director told me not to turn them in, and I'm not financially stable enough to quit. The state licensing board only takes complaints from patients. I'm so sorry, I don't know what to do. FML
Today, for my birthday, I got a hotel room for me and my boyfriend. He decided that spending time with a female friend was more important than spending time with me. FML
Today, a client walked into my store with a duck in her hands. I had to explain to her that she couldn't bring the bird shopping with her. We got a 1-star review. FML
Today, I ordered DoorDash to my home. I sat outside waiting for it, starving, when my husband came out, laughing at me. The DoorDasher had called, I'd accidently sent it to my work. FML
Today, I went back home for a visit after nearly 10 years. I met up with some old friends at a bar and had an amazing evening. Afterwards, two of the wives told me I’m never allowed to speak to, nor see their husbands again, since I slept with them in high school. This was years before they even met. FML
Today, we have a double driveway, but after my wife left, someone parked in my wife’s spot, presumably to avoid the public car park fee a few streets away. I called a tow company and very specifically asked them to tow the intruding red car, but they towed my black work truck instead. FML
Today, I realized I’d rather be the crazy cat lady rather than get married and have kids like a normal human. FML

Aujourd'hui, je rejoins Grenoble en voiture, car j'ai rendez-vous pour visiter trois appartements dans le cadre de mes études. Après 6h de route, j'appelle l'agence immobilière pour indiquer que je suis arrivé en avance. On m'a répondu que les trois appartements avaient été loués. VDM
Aujourd'hui, je reçois un SMS de mon nouveau copain : "Viens chez moi, j'ai pris du McDo." Contente, je laisse mes fourneaux pour y aller. Il n'avait pris qu'un menu pour lui, et l'a dévoré devant moi. Mon ventre a gargouillé et surpris, il m'a demandé : "Ah, t'as faim ?" VDM
Aujourd'hui, j'ai exceptionnellement supprimé les applications de réseaux sociaux sur mon téléphone pour rester concentré sur mon travail. Quelques heures plus tard, j'ai reçu un SMS d'un ami, affolé, me demandant pourquoi je ne répondais pas à son message sur Snapchat. VDM
Aujourd'hui, j'ai fait une chanson pour dire à ma copine à quel point je l'aimais. Elle a eu la même idée… pour m'annoncer qu'elle me quittait. VDM
Aujourd'hui, je coupe les ongles de ma fille de 5 ans, et elle se met à pleurer. Étonné, je lui demande pourquoi elle pleure. "Je veux pas que tu me coupe les ongles, je pourrais plus attraper mes crottes de nez !" VDM

Today, my son broke his arm roughhousing with his brother on a bunk bed. While at the ER, he thought it would be funny to tell a different story to each doctor and nurse, forcing me to speak over him. They found this behavior "suspicious" and reported us to child services. FML
Today, my friend thought it would be funny to post a sign at the deep end of the public swimming pool, saying, "This end topless only." When someone complained, he said that I did it, and I got banned from the pool for life. And fired, too - I was the lifeguard. FML
Today, the 61 year-old Vice-President of our company complained about a blister to four landscapers working outside in the July heat, for 10 minutes. He then made me carry his lunch bag. FML
Today, I’m bisexual. My straight friends think it’s a phase and I should just "pick one". My LGBTQ friends think I’m straight and should stop "posing". I’m regularly accused of trying to steal people's partners or asked to join marital threesomes. Can’t I just be a regular person? FML
Today, I researched how to manage chronic tailbone pain from excessive sitting. One of the most consistent pieces of advice was to lean forward when working. My posture is already so bad, my chiropractor says I'm one of his worst clients of all time. I work a desk job. FML
Today, I was at my psychologist's. We were talking about creative outlets and I told him that I wanted to start playing Dungeons and Dragons again. He starts chuckling, and then says, "Oh, you were serious." FML
Today, I bought my daughter a rape alarm after she had a near-miss with a creep following her to her part-time job. As soon as I handed it to her in the car park, she accidentally set it off and one of her coworkers put me in a rather painful headlock and threw me to the ground, breaking my arm. FML
Today, I finally met a guy I was interested in, after being a single 21 year-old virgin, but my brother decided to be overprotective and drag me away. Like, literally. FML
Today, my husband told me to stop being friends with my best guy friend because I won't let him hang out with his ex. FML
