Today, my wife knows tattoos are a huge turnoff for me. She decided the best way to change my mind about them would be to get one. Across her neck. Of our dog's name. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I realized my husband and I have been fighting a lot lately, so to show him how much I care, I got a tattoo with his name on it. He hates it. FML
Today, I decided I was going to dump my needy girlfriend. I was about to break the news when she stopped me. She showed me her new tattoo she had gotten. Our names, surrounded by a love heart spread across her back. She reckons I should get a matching one. FML
Ankle monitor
Today, despite my warnings and knowing I hate them, my wife got a trashy tattoo of an eye on her ankle, like she’s Count Olaf. How is she going to get a job with that thing? FML
Jumping the gun
Today, I got a tattoo with my boyfriend's name on it. As we're coworkers, I showed it to him thinking he’d love it. He told me he couldn’t continue the relationship anymore since he realized he wants to fix things with his wife. Three hours of pain and 2 years down the drain. FML
Branded
Today, my girlfriend keeps asking me to get her name tattooed on my chest. At first I thought she wanted a romantic gesture, but now she asks me to do it so often, it’s starting to feel more like she wants to cattle brand me as my owner. FML
Today, I found out that my wife is leaving me for a tattoo artist. I was in rehab and she met him getting a tattoo as a surprise for me. FML
Today, I got my first tattoo. It was a surprise for my fiancé: our names together over a heart. I went home but before I could show him, he said we had to have a "talk." So now my ex's name is tattooed on my back. The kicker? Turns out I'm allergic to the ink. FML
Today, I went to get a tattoo of my girlfriend's name to surprise her. Halfway through the tattooing, she called and broke up with me. FML
Keep in touch
Today on my birthday, my wife thought it would be a good idea to get matching tattoos. Our tattoo artist happened to be her ex-boyfriend. I sat and listened to them talk about their relationship and how they should stay in touch. FML
Today, my girlfriend of 7 months broke up with me because I refused to get her name tattooed on my chest. FML

Buy her a collar and a leash and walk her around calling her by the dogs name. Treat her like a bitch. Could be a boost in the sex department, fetish like.

Technically, she is now the property of Rover. His name is on her. Now she'll get peed on all the time.

What an idiot, dump her now and move on!

Dump her for getting a tattoo? That seems a little drastic.

There's something more psychologically going on here than you know... I'm going to suggest counseling. Sounds like pay back for something.

I was thinking the same thing. I think OP and his wife should really start looking into this and communicate better.

So your wife has to comply with your ideals because it turns YOU off? Maybe she wanted one op. If all you can think about how much it turns off, you are being kind of selfish. Support her decision, her body not yours. Its your wife, surely you love her no matter what she looks like--and hopefully fell in love with because other things beside her looks. Though I will give you this, I'd have had it on the hip or lower back...

Wow, way to be supportive of your spouse. The way you describe it, it's probably about two ******* inches long on the back of her neck. That's your wife. Respect her and her body and her decisions. I know several people with portraits of their animals, the bond between a person and their pet can be more loving and forgiving then your husband apparently. I'm working on full sleeves, once you get the first you always go back for more. I hope she divorces you and finds a better more accepting husband!

#107 - We get it. You have tattoos. But, newsflash here, getting a tattoo is a choice. What you find sexually attractive is not a choice. And if your spouse, knowing that you find certain things unattractive, chooses to have them done anyway just to spite you, it demonstrates a lack of respect. At the very least she could have talked to him about it, said something like, "I know you don't like tattoos, but I really want one. Maybe we could find one that we can both enjoy." But, no, your way is much better. Let's knowingly alter our bodies in a way our spouses hate without an ounce of consideration for them, and then divorce them for getting upset about it. That sounds like a solid, healthy foundation for a marriage.

Except she didn't get it because she wanted it or to "share a bond with her animal". She got it to force him to like tattoos. She also got it on her neck so he would be forced to see it 24/7. That's spiteful if you ask me.

So he says, maybe she actually really likes their dog and he assumed it was strictly to "force him to like tattoos"

This is being written by the husband so how the **** would you know why she got that tattoo? People don't drill shit into their skin to spite their husband. He's just trying to make her sound spiteful so he doesn't look like a stupid controlling ass hole. You're suppose to love whats on the inside. And again, the tattoo is probably super small and on the back of her neck where it is mostly invisible or easily covetable. He is being selfish and need to get over himself.

I will never understand what the hell she was thinking ,? Sounds very weird to me.
