Today on my birthday, my wife thought it would be a good idea to get matching tattoos. Our tattoo artist happened to be her ex-boyfriend. I sat and listened to them talk about their relationship and how they should stay in touch. FML

Today, I was talking to my tattoo artist about how my girlfriend broke up with me. She had also gotten her tattoos from him, so they had talked quite a bit. He told me she had been cheating on me with her ex for two and a half months. He didn't tell me because he didn't want to lose business. FML
Today, I got a tattoo with my boyfriend's name on it. As we're coworkers, I showed it to him thinking he’d love it. He told me he couldn’t continue the relationship anymore since he realized he wants to fix things with his wife. Three hours of pain and 2 years down the drain. FML
Today, my girlfriend dumped me for the tattoo artist who gave us our matching "love" tattoos. FML
Today, I got my first tattoo. It was a surprise for my fiancé: our names together over a heart. I went home but before I could show him, he said we had to have a "talk." So now my ex's name is tattooed on my back. The kicker? Turns out I'm allergic to the ink. FML
Today, I found out that my wife is leaving me for a tattoo artist. I was in rehab and she met him getting a tattoo as a surprise for me. FML
Today, my tattoo artist boyfriend of five months gave me my first tattoo in celebration of my 18th birthday. It was supposed to be a heart with my name in script. He spelled my name wrong. FML
Today, I went to get a tattoo of my girlfriend's name to surprise her. Halfway through the tattooing, she called and broke up with me. FML
Today, I realized my husband and I have been fighting a lot lately, so to show him how much I care, I got a tattoo with his name on it. He hates it. FML
Today, my boyfriend of 2 years took me to get a tattoo done with his name on. He paid for it. After it was done he told me it was over between us and he thought it'd be a nice reminder of him for me. FML
Today, I decided I was going to dump my needy girlfriend. I was about to break the news when she stopped me. She showed me her new tattoo she had gotten. Our names, surrounded by a love heart spread across her back. She reckons I should get a matching one. FML

They're clearly not having an affair, or they would have hidden from you, so you can relax they are just friends. Dick move of her not checking with you that you were comfortable with her ex as the tattoo artist though

If you are uncomfortable about stuff, you should speak up about it. Whether you are being unreasonable or not is not the point. What is important is that the two of you communicate about it.

Plus, he got to stick his needle into her, over and over again, while you just sat there and watched. Why did you go to her boyfriend's (not sure whether ex- really applies) tattoo parlors? They're one on every corner!

Put on your big girl panties and take a deep breath. The person obviously has some good traits or your present mate wouldn’t have dated them. There was obviously some incompatibilities or they wouldn’t have broken up. They evidently feel confident about the relationship with you or they wouldn’t want to get a tattoo linking you two forever. Now breathe. Your mate wants to talk to a good person and still wants to bind to you. Stop being insecure, no one finds that attractive

Never EVER get matching tattoos or anything with a spouse on it. Kids are ok, mom/dad, ok, but never a spouse/bf/gf/etc...
