Today, my mother and I went to a meeting at my school about a camping trip the students in my grade will be going on. When the time to ask questions came, my mother raised her hand and loudly asked, "What if my child is on their period during the trip?" FML
Today, my mom told my dad to get me extra absorbent pads, very loudly, in a crowded mall. FML
Today, while teaching my kindergarten class, I had a feeling I was starting my period again. A boy in the class asked me what a period was. Stressing over my own, I briefly told him it's a woman's time of the month when they have mood swings. He was asking about the dot at the end of a sentence. FML
Today, I just got my first period. My mother has been dead for years and my stepmother genuinely wishes I was dead, so who am I supposed to tell? FML
Today, my mom threatened to hurt me if she finds out i’m not changing my pad in between every single class. My classes are all on opposite sides of the building and nowhere near any bathrooms. I don’t even bleed that much. FML
Today, my mum thought it would be acceptable to tell my school that the reason I will not be attending classes is because I have "the shits." FML

Wow you do know women are as different as they come, right? You can start your period at 8 or at 17. Some are really late bloomers, my sister got hers at 16 1/2, that's not exactly '12'

#82 wins haha I will never understand why some moms are compelled to do embarrassing things. I'm sure she meant well, but she could be uhm, more discreet about certain things... It's okay OP. It'll pass. FYL in the meantime though :p
