Today, my husband came home drunk off his ass at 2am. He started crying on my shoulder because he couldn't go home with some beautiful woman who hit on him, because sadly for him, he's married to me. FML

At least he was faithful, but I'm guessing he's gonna be sleeping on the couch for a while

Things like this could be prevented if married and committed people did not go out drinking without their significant other. When you do, you are just setting yourself up for a bad situation. I Love my bf and I am committed to him. I personally would never go out drinking without him. Especially in a situation where I am also alone around lots of other men.

So you don't trust each other? Or do you just think of temptation as something that is beyond your control?

i love my boyfriend too, but he still can go out alone as much as he wants. we have the same opinion when it comes to cheating and i fully trust him and he trusts me. so we both can go out and even get drunk and the other one doesn't have to worry about it.

I really find no need or desire to do so. I don't mind going out with the girls or him going out with his guy friends, and i dont think he would cheat on me or anything either. However when it is a situation where typically people are going out to meet other people, then it is an unnecessary situation and place. Especially in a relationship.

If it is unnecessary, then don't do it. Are you stupid?

Ouch. I think the worst part are the future implications. If he didn't cheat this time, what about next time? If he's unhappy enough in the relationship to even want to do it it's a bad sign, end of story.

Is he hinting that he's tied up with you and can't be free

To this guys defense when people get drunk they are brutally honest. Everyone is making out to seem this guy is the scum of the earth. How many times do married woman think about hooking up with somebody else and don't? Because woman have more self control when it comes to this kind of thing. Your husband came home to you.. Give him props.

Just curious here but if u are OP and your spouse did this to you would u feel the same then? Plus WTH is with lack of common sense here, (yes the irony of my question is not lost here) having personally come out of a terrible year where I was intoxicated more than not, I NEVER would think to puts words to thoughts in this situation. I have been there done that with regards to loose lips made looser due to amount of alcohol consumed and never thought to share being hit on with my husband.

80: Are you still intoxicated? You're slurring your words a bit.

Figure out where the holes are in your relationship and patch them up. Then he'll massage your shoulders and not cry on them

You should be happy that he stayed faithful, even while drunk. Figure out why he's upset that he's married to you and work on it.

I'm torn here because he did the honest thing. But at the cost of wrecking his wife's self esteem. There should be a black out clause were anything u say can not be held against u

I would be extremely happy if that happened to me. He was wasted, got hit on by an attractive woman, and still remained faithful! I hope he makes it up to you though, OP. He shouldn't be "sad" that he's married to you. Maybe if you repeat this conversation to him when he's sober, he'll try to make it up to you and maybe you should set some ground rules for when he goes out drinking.

At least you know he is faithful
