Today, I accidentally rear-ended an undercover police car. FML
Today, I decided to be a good driver and not run through the yellow light. As soon as I stopped my car another came and rear-ended me. The guy told me to go in the parking lot so we can exchange information. So I drove into the parking lot, I turned my head and watched him drive away. FML
Today, I rear-ended a car while I was texting about the accident ahead which was causing all the traffic. FML
Today, I got rear ended. The guy flashed his lights at me to pull over, so I pulled into the side of the road. He drove away. FML
Today, I rear-ended a car on the parkway. We pulled over, the guy told me his car was fine, and then asked me out on a date. It was only when I said no that he decided he wanted his car fixed. FML
Today, I got rear-ended at a stop sign on a seldom used road in my neighborhood. As I open my car door to trade insurance information with the guy, he backs up a little and speeds away, taking my car door with him. FML
Today, I rear ended a cop while talking on my cell phone. FML
Today, I was driving home when a guy crashed into me from behind. I got out of my car and told him that I was going to call the cops. He then asked me if we could move to a corner because we were blocking the way, so we then got back in to move. I looked in the mirror to see him driving off. FML
Today, I got into a car accident that was my fault. The other driver was my professor. FML
Today, I was in a car accident. After screaming at the woman for running into me, I got in my car and drove off. As I was driving away, I was staring her down when I ended up rear-ending the person in front of me. FML

I backed into a lawyer's car, he was super cool about it, and my insurance covered everything. Since the police were there, he can't do anything since it will be in the police report whether he was injured or not. You should be fine. Just tell you insurance company and they will take care of it.

Okay all the people who think rear-ending someone is automatically reason to call the OP a bad driver are obviously really new drivers or have never driven before at all. People are DUMB. They stop for the stupidest reasons ever and if you're in traffic you aren't keeping 2 car distances between you. Or they cut you off and cause you to rear end them. That's actually a pretty common scam to get money. A rear-end should NOT always be the persons fault.

There is a scam involved where you can rear end someone and have it not be your fault. However it takes 2-4 other cars involved to create the scene, but a good driver can notice whats happening and can take steps to prevent it - IE slowing down and not speeding up when the tailgating car approaches. Then if the scammers don't back off, its the scammers who rear-end you, not you rear-ending the target car

Don't feel bad - I once hit an attorney specializing in accident related injury. He was also driving a $130k mercedes convertible. But nothing happened other than normal accident stuff.
