Today, I realized I willingly support my boyfriend's alcoholism, because the only time he says "I love you" is when he's blind drunk. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I was texting my boyfriend about yesterday, where he told me how much he loved me, and he wishes we lived closer. I asked him if he really meant it. Turns out he was drunk, and had no idea what he was talking about. FML
Assman
Today, I love my boyfriend just as I always have, but I'm realizing I don't know if we'll last because he's an angry drunk. He drinks frequently, and I've talked to him about it, only to be met with, "I'm a grown ass man." FML
Driven to drink
Today, I caught my boyfriend trying to dispose of several empty alcohol bottles, leading to a discussion how dating me and putting up with my insanity has given him a drinking problem just so he can get through the day. Me catching him seemed to be the wake up call he needed, because he dumped me. FML
Today, my boyfriend gave me grief about my drinking. This would be fine, if he were sober. FML
Boozehounds
Today, my fiancé refused to talk to me because I'm "an alcoholic". I only started drinking like this after we moved in together and he brought me alcohol every day, because he's an alcoholic. FML
Today, I realized that the only time my girlfriend ever calls me is when she's drunk. FML
Another addiction bites the dust
Today, I caught my boyfriend messaging flirty texts with one of the nurses who cared for him while he was in inpatient rehabilitation at the VA Medical Center for alcohol abuse. Not to mention he is back drinking daily. I suck at relationships. FML
Can he fix it?
Today, I found out that when my boyfriend is drunk he pretends to be Bob the Builder. FML
Today, I reached a new low in my relationship: my boyfriend got so drunk I had to help him take a piss. FML
I need one
Today, my boyfriend broke up with me because of my drunken antics. My reaction? Pour myself a stiff drink. FML

If the only time he loves you is when he's drunk, you need let him go and find someone who truly cares about you.

When he said "I love you" he was talking to the bottle. Sorry OP.

Maybe find a boyfriend who can say he loves you sober and/drunk instead of depending on alcohol to feel love. Just a suggestion.

It's relatively cheap to keep him drunk. Work hard and you'll always have love in your life!

you are an enabler. you're pushing alcohol on him as if you're his dealer. youre killing him over three little words? time to 're-evaluate your relationship as well as your morals

So I don't think he really loves you in that case

You're really that desperate for someone's affection that you'd settle for someone who can't even express it sober? This is a YDI all the way.

Not necessarily. I'm not really a physically affectionate person unless I have had a drink. I don't know why.

Big difference between "a drink" and "blind drunk", and also between saying I love you and being physically affectionate.

My gf is always on me about this. She like hugging and touching but apparently I only do it when I've had something to drink. I don't get drunk though.

Well then please hug her! Hold her waist and hands. Its the simple things that are the best. Don't make her have to work for it!

Time to move on girl. Find a man who tells you he loves you all the time sober or not.

You need to stop. And get him some help.
