Today, I spent all day making preparations and buying food for my upcoming birthday. It's not for a party, though - none of my friends wanted to come. I'm preparing for the launch of the new World of Warcraft expansion. FML

Today, I got bored and decided to try World Of Warcraft. FML
Today, it's my 21st birthday. All my friends and family said they were busy so I figured I was getting a surprise party. Nope. They all were actually busy. I spent my birthday alone. FML
Today, I'm having my housewarming party and had prepared food, drink, and games for all the 19 confirmed guests on Facebook. I waited till 11, but nobody showed up. I checked Facebook again and realized I had accidentally put tomorrow as the party date. I have to work the whole day tomorrow. FML
Today, I realised that I've never been able to successfully cook a meal outside of World of Warcraft. FML
Today, my friends threw me a surprise birthday party. The problem? My birthday is tomorrow. I spent the entire evening pretending I was surprised and happy, all while knowing they got the date wrong. FML
Today, as he has all day for the last 3 days, my husband has been playing Cyberpunk 2077. However, it's my birthday. When I mentioned this fact, I was told to just walk the 4 miles to the store and buy a cake, "if it matters so much." I have celiac and he spent our grocery money on the game. FML
Today, all of my friends bailed from the birthday party I was throwing myself. This was also after they had encouraged me for months to have one, knowing I'd never had my birthday celebrated before. FML
Today, it's my birthday. I spent the day doing nothing but chores, amongst which baking my own birthday cake. I was then so exhausted that I couldn't even stand my own company, so I ate the cake alone on the couch, watching TV. It didn’t taste great. FML
Today, it's my birthday. My mom and three other relatives each bought me a copy of Diablo 3 for my birthday. A video game that I didn't ask for, for a console I don't have. FML
Today, my social anxiety got so bad that I nearly had a panic attack when too many people joined my World of Warcraft party. FML

I'm so excited for WoD! The only thing that sucks is my 587 ilvl is going to mean absolutely nothing anymore haha. I'm excited for new content though, SoO got boring a looong time ago.

Agreed. Haven't played since Cata and the expansion looks pretty epic. On a side note, I love how the moment WoW is mentioned in an FML the comments cease to be about the OP and turn into excitement for the game haha.

On launch you would be lucky to hit cap in 36hrs, let alone find 9-24 others ready and geared for raiding. #1 You're motherboard must of almost been dead already, it's quite a feat to overheat a motherboard seeing as barely anything generates heat from it. CPU or gpu would make sense.

My 18th birthday was spent playing a 17 hour game of civilisation with 9 other people on the biggest map, on the hardest difficulty. Way better that a party where you stand around making small talk.

I disagree. You shouldn't just be making small talk. A party is about letting go with your friends having an absolute blast and forgetting about your responsibilities for a night. it's something that doesn't happen all the time. Playing that game happens a lot more I am sure.
