Today, my mom's will was read to the rest of the family. I helped my mom write it a couple years ago, and I was to get funds to pay off school loans. She revised it and put in a note saying I was to get nothing because I was "lazy." The executor read it out loud. FML

your mom's a b*tch. piss on her grave. she didn't even have the decency to be open with you about her feelings, which could have led to a mutual understanding of each other's beliefs and values. no, instead she acted behind your back, and let your entire family know without any regard for you. that's immature, spiteful, malicious and the indications of a bad person. personally, i respect that other people's opinions on gay rights differ, and people have a right to their opinions, but the way she dealt with the difference in opinion is messed. what an awful mother.

#46, you're a dick. his mother should love him regardless of his sexual orientation. it's mindsets like yours that make the world a more difficult place for everyone. this is awful, & I wish you the best.

#46, you know you could have saved yourself some time and still sent out exactly the same message if you just typed "I'm a ****" in place of the essay.

FYL ... It is gonna suck paying off those loans now. My mom would do the same if she was offended. YDI ... for assuming you were getting money upon her death. never assume anything. Lesson learned.

FYL I bet it sucks to be you right now.

I'm so sorry for you. I'm sorry that you lost your mother and that she didn't accept you for who you are, especially since she was the only one you felt you could trust with your secret with.

Dude, I really feel sorry for you. I hope it all works out for you. Besides, if your mom can't accept who you are, well that really sucks. But the rest of your family will most likely be supportive and you have friends from your entire life. Good luck from a fellow gay guy

#43, how the hell was he supposed to know she'd react that way? I know my mom isn't keen on homosexuality, but she would never do something drastic like that if I came out to her! Kids do things their parents don't approve of all the time, such as getting drunk or having sex as a teenager, but they don't expect to get disowned or permanently shunned. If he confessed to her then he obviously thought he could trust her. #46, you're a ****. #53... LOL
