Today, I found out that of the three medications I am taking for depression, one causes weight gain, one causes severe weight gain, and one "might cause weight gain." FML

Hmm, you have the choice of being depressed, or the choice of being fat and happy. Which will you pick? BUM BUM BUMMM!

Guess depression is now the least of your problems now!

Need a mood stabilizer that helps you lose weight? Topiramate. You may go anorexic... And you'll be lethargic. But, skinny!

Wow, that's depressing. Now you'll need another med.

It's a good thing your depression isn't weight-related.

All anti-depressants, or at least a large majority, make you gain weight. Just eat accordingly and exercise, if of course that isn't why you are depressed. I have taken some before for a while, I didn't really gain that much weight, and once I was off, I just did a lot of exercise :) Try not to stress about it too much, you can always lose the weight, if you gain any!

Switch to junk food. Same result but so much more delicious

i can see being fat can be depressing

Change meds. Theres heaps out there. You will end up more depressed when you get over weight and that's not good.
