Today, my girlfriend broke up with me after a year of living together. She told me that she met someone else and wanted to move out. She moved out... but moved her things into my roommate's bedroom. FML
Today, my wife wanted more space, so we moved to a new house. I signed a more expensive one-year lease and went through a huge move. Everything would’ve been fine if she hadn’t broken up with me one month later. Now I’m trying to renegotiate the lease and sleeping on the couch. FML
Today, I finished hauling all of my possessions from another state, because I was supposed to move in with my girlfriend. I was just waiting to find a job. Almost as soon as my stuff was delivered, she broke up with me and told me to figure out getting it all back by myself. FML
Today, I decided to break up with my girlfriend after I got home and realised I was happier sat in my car on the street than I would be if I went inside and had to put up with her whining and her two spoiled daughters for even one more day. So now I’m happy, but also homeless. FML
Today, I told my girlfriend that I think the concept of marriage is ridiculous and that it’s just being boyfriend/girlfriend with a fancier title. She packed all her things and moved out immediately. Now I can’t afford rent without her and have no idea what I’m going to do. FML
Today, my girlfriend broke up with me after my check cleared for my half of the $1000 deposit on our new apartment. FML
Today, I flew cross-country to see my girlfriend of three years. Once I got there, she broke up with me. I was supposed to be staying for a month and now I have nowhere to go. FML
Today, my ex-girlfriend moved out. I came back to a sparsely furnished home; she'd even taken the shower head, my beard trimmer, and the soap from the bathroom. FML
Today, my fiancée broke up with me. Via a myspace message. While we were in the same apartment. FML
Today, I met with my realtor to close on a house for my boyfriend and me. While waiting for my boyfriend, I got a text message from him saying he was breaking up with me. I had already signed the papers on our house. Now I'm responsible for a mortgage that I can only afford with his help. FML

YDI for not getting a house that you can realistically pay with your income. I've got a mortgage loan, I pay monthly payments. If I stop paying, the bank will auction the house. I had a hard time, almost losing my house to the bank. But I paid my debt, and I can now rest calm. Other than that, this house is MINE. If you don't have a house, if you don't own a place to live, your girlfriend will dump you and look for someone who can afford a place to build a nest. Foolish teen kids, having sex without thinking about the consequences, without having finished school, without being able to get a job suitable to maintain a family. They get their girlfriends pregnant and then don't know what to do. Irresponsible idiots.
