If his just 1 of ur parents or 1 of his had it b4 were born u can get it from them. U also can get it from cutting urself on something that some1 else that has it cut theirself b4 u. Or ur husband could be lying 2 u and had sex with some1 else b4, but I don't think that it's that.

Most people don't know this but, if you give him oral or he gives you oral with a cold sore it becomes genital herpes. because a cold sore is herpes. Your doctor should have mentioned that. I learned it in biology and in microbiology in college.

don't be naive- you can't just suddenly develop herpes. you can only catch it through unprotected sex with someone who is infected, so unless you're the one who cheated on him, your husband has some explaining to do! your doctor is a ******* moron for not telling you this, but maybe he didn't want to ruin your relationship. please educate yourself and then maybe you won't have to hear the harsh truth from strangers on the Internet.

protection doesn't prevent herpes. you can still get herpes with a condom, and you can get it through any skin contact with the infected area. Someone could have gotten herpes on their hands, and held hands with someone, then the person jacked off and then they got herpes. to say there is only one way to get herpes is ludicrous.

to say herpes gets transferred by touching hands is ludicrous. you're right that there does need to be skin on skin contact, but that's between 2 sets of genitals. all this crap about getting it from toilet seats or by getting it on your hands and passing it on that way is bullshit made up by cheaters. you get it when genitals touch or through oral sex if the giver has a coldsore- either way cheating is involved. think about it- even if op's bf gave it to her by touching her hand, he would still have had to touch someone elses infected crotch!
