Today, my girlfriend of 2 years texted me saying "I can't wait to f*ck later." I replied saying, "Couldn't we just spend time together?" Her response was, "What are you, a girl?" FML

That's actually really sweet of him! Not every guy would say they "just want to spend time together". Lot of respect to this dude!

I think he's a guy who does not enforce the stereotype that all men are sex-crazed maniacs. What are you? Stupid?

I turn my husband down 10x more than he turns me down, and I don't get upset when he actually does turn me down. When you're not in the mood, you're not in the mood. It's no big deal. There are other things you can do together that better fit the situation while being intimate. It's just stupid to get upset when someone turns you down. That's like a child throwing a tantrum.

When I read your answer, my first thought was a mixture of "aww that's sweet" and "gayyyy". But still, FYL. Your girlfriend is pretty rude. I wouldn't wanna date someone like her personnaly.

Why do you have a two year old girlfriend?

Dear OP, I feel that while its your opinion on what's right, I wouldn't say no to it. First off, I am a male, who isn't in a relationship, and so I feel that you have a girlfriend, and its a man's job to satisfy her needs, while also his as well. Sometimes, a girl needs to have sex, simply to boost her confidence, or any other personal need. Most guys who need sex, just need to feel like a man...so if you aren't experiencing that tell her, that you can't be the forceful one. Let her be on top if she wants it, you'll get your intimacy as she proves she wants it, and this sex lasts longer, so you can talk, and do want you need to do. Finally, yes its a double standard to insult you, but I have never met a male who would turn down the opportunity for a willing partner, in a situation where both people want it. No man is born with low libido, usually they have a ailment with their genitalia, no joke unfortunately, that can stifle that. If you are completely turned off by sex, I would suggest seeing a doctor...but for one time saying no to a girl, I say you still got your man card, but I also believe in the 3 strike rule...my advice, love her, and let her have it...then later on, you guys can do what you want to do...

I get what you're saying, and I agree. I do want to add, though, that one of the byproducts of the "sex-starved male" social norm is that (naturally) women assume that men always want sex. This can lead to a woman really feeling hurt and/or rejected if she puts herself out there trying to be sexy and is turned down. It's kinda like, "well if he's supposed to want it all the time and he doesn't, then it must be me." I'm not saying that's what happened here, but it might (might) be why she reacted so badly.

227 -- Completely agree...social norms suck, I am a politcal scientist, so my responses are too long most times, but yes, I can totally see the girlfriend, if that was the case, suffering from that issue...I hoped it worked out for them...the more couples that love each other and want to be with each other, night and day, the better the world will be...
