Today, my boyfriend and I were having sex for the first time when my 4 year old sister walked in. She thought we were making a dog pile, so just as soon as my boyfriend was about to finish, she jumped on his back. FML

That's almost as bad as my wife and I who were dating at the time were doing the same we came out and her brother had come home unexpected. We had a laugh.

Lets get one thing straight. A child out of wedlock is not a bad thing nor is every out of wedlock child a mistake. I PLANNED to have my son with my boyfriend because having a kid suited where I was in my life. I was just out of uni, working but hadn't started my career yet so it was perfect. Being married does not increase your love nor does it make you a better parent. What it MIGHT do is give you a wee bit more security but if you need to put a ring on someones finger to ensure they stay around then you have bigger relationship problems than you think. I know a lot of people marry then have kids but that's because that is what works for them not because that's what right.

Okay, first of all having kids outside of marriage is totally fine by me and, I hope anyway, the majority of people. But what I don't like in this FML is that since you were having sex, the baby monitor is obviously in the baby's room and your brother heard/saw you, then that must mean you were having sex in the same room that the baby sleeps in, which is something I just can't accept. That's just my opinion though. Perhaps it's okay but personally I don't think it is. Another thing is, that this FML isn't clear enough to judge because you didn't say whether your brother was at home already or whether he had the keys to your house and came in whilst you were having sex. I assume he would inform you before coming but given the information, I guess he already was at your house which makes it obvious that you deserved it.

I know that in Britain it is recommended that a baby stays in the same room as his/her parents til the baby is 6months old. It is very possible that this is the case in the OPs house, whether its because the same thing is recommended where the OP lives or there is a lack of space in OP's house/flat. As someone who has a 4 month old myself i can tell you that you quickly become OK with the idea of having sex in the same room as the baby. I wouldn't dream of doing it while the baby is awake though, that's just strange lol.
