Your music's shite, mate

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, my cat jumped into my lap and sat on my headphone cord. I tried to get it out from under her by pulling on it. Big mistake. My cat is now eyeing the cord and will attack it if I move it again. I have expensive headphones and the cord is not interchangeable. FML
Today, I bought new earphones for my phone so I could finally listen to music again. Not an hour later I broke it. FML
Today, after coming home with a delicious chocolate cake that I bought for Easter for my family, I realized my mom's cat was chewing on the end of my cellphone charging cord that I left on the floor in a rush to head out the door. I'd only just bought the cord yesterday and the cat chewed on it so hard, the plug's bent. FML
Today, I was so into my game that I didn't notice my senior-aged cat had emptied his cat bladder onto my leg until I took off my headphones and he jumped off me to go chew on the couch. FML
Today, I was listening to my iPod while changing the diaper on my baby. One earbud fell out of my ear and onto the changing table so I quickly picked it up without looking and put it back in my ear, only to realize the headphone had fallen onto more than a table. I now have brown earphones. FML
Today, I found my lost iPhone earbuds. In the cat litter box. I am 100% sure that they passed through my cat to get there. FML
Today, my cat used my head as a springboard and ripped my earring out with her claw. FML
Today, after I accidentally put my headphones through the washing machine and then drying them out, they somehow still worked, but only in one ear. I was about to accept my fate when the other side suddenly started playing audio at full volume during a quiet train ride. FML
Today, I was listening to my music on my phone through my Bluetooth wireless headphones. While listening, I turned my music and the power on my headphones off for a bit. I thought I'd lost them when I got home. They were so loosely fit over my ears that I felt like an idiot when I realized they were still on my head. FML
Today, I woke up to find out that my practically feral cat had chewed through my laptop charger cable. I guess I won't be getting much work done today. FML

Keep them in the box? Or at least in a drawer? Or train your cat better? Mine has never pissed in the house. Plenty of dead/dying birds and rats, but she always goes cat potty outside, like she was trained to do.

Sentient beings (friends, family, pets) are prone to jealousy. The people or pets who love you want to monopolize your attention sometimes. If you tune out your cat when you put your earphones on they will notice that and react in ways to show their displeasure. Much of what little I know about dealing with women I learned from dealing with my Mom’s cat when I was growing up. Give them the attention they want when they want it and your life will be easier. Ignore them when they want attention and then expect them to be friendly when you want to be friends and they will get back at you eventually. One final piece of advice - To get them to come to you do something that catches their interest. Chase them against their will and they will run away or attack if cornered.

Two issues here. You're leaving your stuff laying around irresponsibly. And your cat(s) aren't getting the proper entertainment and care to nip their bad habits in the butt. With cats you want to give new opportunity when you take one away. You take a "toy" they're not supposed to have, you give a toy they CAN have. That's just how cats work and you use a similar tactic if they scratch furniture. The peeing thing is also an issue. Scoop their litter more and get them checked at the doc to make sure it's not related to a health issue. Cats don't *want* to pee on your stuff - they do it when something isn't right. - I worked with animals on a professional level and used to be the cat lady with 9+ cats at a time, so I've had my fair share of dealing with their nonsense and solving it.
