Today, I divorced my husband of 20 years. The only positive thing about my day was my pregnancy test. Yes, it was his. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, after my boyfriend broke up with me, the only thing positive about my day was a pregnancy test. FML
Today, I found out I'm pregnant. My husband and I are divorcing because HE had an affair. He now wants a paternity test. FML
Today, my ex dumped me for his ex who'd cheated on him. Today, I also found out I'm pregnant. When I told him he said, "I’m really happy for you. I hope it all works out." FML
Bad timing?
Today, I found out that I'm pregnant. I buried my 8-year-old son two weeks ago and had my husband serve me divorce papers three days ago. FML
Today, I found out that my ex-husband just had a baby with his new partner. We only split up a week ago. FML
Bad news
Today, I called my ex and told him I was pregnant with his child. He was thrilled, going on and on about how much he wanted to be a dad. I had to tell him I was going to abort it. FML
Heartwarming
Today, I had to break the news to my husband that I had miscarried our first child, to which he replied, "Thank God!" and told me he wanted a divorce. FML
Congrats!
Today, I found out my husband is having a baby. Too bad I'm not pregnant. FML
Happy new year, huh?
Today, my husband of 12 years announced that he wants a divorce and that he hadn't liked me in YEARS. FML
Dodged a bullet
Today, I went to the doctor's office after getting a positive pregnancy test. She did another one to confirm the result, which came back negative. My husband is wandering around with a great big smile on his face, because he isn't going to "have a rugrat." FML

Okay, I'm confused. I might get thumbed down for this. She said "was" does that mean she aborted it?

Try reading the story again SLOWER it says the only thing positive about her day was the pregnancy TEST lol nothing to do with a past tense pregnancy

Is there a more politically correct way to refer to a clump of cells that you don't yet know the sex of?

82 - Yes, you call it "the baby" or "the child" or "the kid"... Shall I continue?

Divorce usually rekindles the sex life. Everything happens for a reason.

I wonder why it ended. I know if I ever get married it will be once and I will stay married.

If you aren't married, and I'm not so maybe I shouldn't comment on this post either but, divorce is something one can comment on. Don't knock her for making a choice.

Most people don't get married thinking they will one day get divorced. you can try to plan your life but life doesn't always go according to plan.

Yes, because I'm sure the majority of couples get married planning to get divorced. You sound as if you are still in the incredibly naive stage of life where a five year relationship is something MASSIVE and you have no idea what growing old with someone actually means. Please get off your high horse.

A majority of couples now also rush into a marriage without taking the time to actually fully understand each other and/or properly consider the consequences of making such a commitment. That, and the great contributions of society in eroding away the significance and original permanence of marriage, is why there are so many divorces around now. Also, kids raised by divorced parents or witnessing the event themselves also suffer major negative impacts on their views of marriage. If people actually started treating marriage as a permanent and lifelong commitment again, instead of one that can be nullified with some paperwork, I believe the desire for divorce would be greatly diminished with the falling rate of rash marriages.

nullified**, no idea why that gap appeared.

It's kinda terrible to judge her mothering abilities on that, isn't it? "It" is just used to refer to an object OR being of indeterminate or nonexistent gender. She does not know if the baby is a boy or a girl, so she uses the gender-neutral "it." Doesn't mean she's thinking of the embryo as an object.
